Christmas is coming.....
I'm feeling very fat, I went to put a penny in the old man's hat--and he was gone! Seriously! I was all ready to drop some change in the Salvation Army bucket, reminded to do so by the bell ringing when I went in the grocery store (I was picking up items needed for the Thteed traditional Christmas Morning quiche, mmmmmmmmm), came out and the Salvation Army man, his bell and bucket were gone! Where'd he go?
I should also ask, where'd my Christmas cheer go? I'm just not very excited for Christmas this year, which I feel kind of bad about. I had all these activities and crafts I wanted to do with the Big O after Thanksgiving, but then December got here and I lost my steam.
Maybe it was throwing the Big O's fifth birthday party that did it? That was pretty all consuming there for the weeks leading up to it. You can go see some pictures of it over at the Big O's blog. It was a pretty awesome party and after thinking about it, I am quite sure that's where all my cheer/celebratory energy went. Leaving none for Christmas.
Sorry Christmas.
However, I will say that I did very much enjoy having FoxyJ and her family come and sing carols to us and deliver us cookies--that was very cheerful. Then we all headed up to the Temple to see the Christmas lights and a the live Christmas Nativity scene, this helped very much to rekindle a little bit of my Christmas cheer. Hopefully it's enough to pull me through the actual day.
I hope you are all filled with Christmas cheer and having a lovely Christmas season.
Merry Christmas!

Glad we could bring some Christmas cheer to you. The lights were nice and I'm glad we came down--Little Dude is still talking about the temple and seeing baby Jesus. Hope you find your Christmas spirit soon :)
