Check out these Booties

I found these in the basket I keep all of Little Lord Steed's clothes in and thought they were too cute not to share. Aren't they adorable!?
Want to know what is even more adorable? Little Lord Steed wearing them!
They came from a friend of mine whose mother was clearing out her house in preparation for a move. My friend has no kids of her own but took all the kids clothes her mother was tossing and brought them to me, since I have kids. These were probably made by a relative for her or her brother.
Glad I found them before Little Lord Steed's feet got too big for them, seeing them on his feet makes me smile.

Little Lord Steed: Two Months Old

Two months old and none too happy about it, apparently, based on how today's picture taking went. Nothing but tears, which is sad because Little Lord Steed now has a really cute smile, with dimples, which is one of this month's most welcome developments. The other: he's now sleeping anywhere from four to six hours at a stretch! I'm no longer being woken up every two hours at night and while I would not say that I am well rested, I am enjoying the extra hours of consecutive snoozing. He does, however, have the hardest time falling asleep. He spends a large portion of the evening hours screaming his head off until he finally drops off, probably from exhaustion.
So, he's got smiling down, still cries a lot, only sleeps in his swing and has a horrid case of baby acne. He's still adorable but his face is covered in red bumps and flaky skin--it's sad and kind of gross. Poor baby--maybe that's why he cries?
He started smiling about three weeks ago. The first real smile happened, I think, on September 18th. His is a very cute smile and, for Mommy, so gratifying. He smiles at me a lot: it's nice to know he's happy to see me. This smile is, however, difficult to capture with the camera, it rarely makes an appearance when the camera is pointed in his direction. The smile's favorite time to come out is when one is talking to Little Lord Steed.
He's very alert when he is awake and gets upset if no one is chatting with him. He demands constant love and attention, a true tyrant!
He's been trying to get any part of his hands in his mouth, he prefers his left, but has only been successful a few times. Hopefully he will get this down in a little bit so he can do a little self-soothing.
Lastly, he's starting to gain weight, he hasn't had his two month checkup (it is not until November) but I can tell. He's getting chubby in the thighs, the face and around the arms and it is very cute.
Despite the blotchy bumpy red face and all the crying, he's still pretty adorable. See for yourself:

the smile! but not all of the dimple
